As a Senior Staff, PSIC & PDT Lead at Qualcomm in Ho Chi Minh, you will architect, design, and develop scalable software tools, backend services, and platform applications. You will define the technical vision for engineering productivity and automation, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive excellence in software quality, performance, and reliability.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of scalable software tools, backend services, APIs, and platform applications.
  • Define and drive the long-term technical vision for engineering productivity, automation, and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Architect highly available, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Develop high-performance backend systems, workflow automation frameworks, reporting platforms, and engineering dashboards.
  • Design and implement integrations across internal platforms, databases, cloud services, and external systems.
  • Drive technical reviews, architecture discussions, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technology selection decisions.
  • Champion engineering excellence through improvements in software quality, observability, performance, security, testing, deployment, and operational reliability.
  • Partner closely with QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
  • Establish and promote best practices for software architecture, development, code quality, documentation, and maintainability.
  • Mentor engineers across multiple experience levels through technical coaching, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and productivity improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and drive execution across geographically distributed teams.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in backend systems, platform engineering, and tools development.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering large-scale software applications, developer tools, or enterprise platforms.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java, C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Spring Boot, or comparable frameworks.
  • 8+ years of experience working with relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and scalable data architectures.
  • Strong expertise in REST API design, distributed systems, and enterprise software architecture.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex technical initiatives from concept through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction and drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree and 5+ years of experience. OR PhD and 4+ years of experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 15+ years of overall software engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of experience building engineering productivity tools, automation frameworks, validation platforms, CI/CD systems, release engineering solutions, or developer-facing platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership through architecture ownership, technical mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native applications, or highly scalable backend platforms.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of system design, security, observability, performance engineering, and reliability principles.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering strategic initiatives that drive measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, scalability, or operational effectiveness.
  • Experience working in large-scale, globally distributed engineering organizations.
