Microsoft is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer to lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for Global Tier1 Contract Manufacturing. This role involves supplier leadership, category strategy ownership, and cross-functional partnership throughout the product lifecycle, driving competitive cost, quality, and resilience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned products using leading global manufacturing service providers.
  • Own business performance for assigned product categories across the full lifecycle, including supplier selection, negotiations, and relationship management.
  • Set clear priorities, resolve execution barriers, and hold Tier 1 suppliers accountable through measurable commitments.
  • Develop and maintain competitive cost models using should-cost analysis and benchmarking.
  • Generate competitive supplier, technology, and market intelligence to identify emerging capabilities and risks.
  • Identify and mitigate supply continuity, capacity, financial, and geopolitical risks.
  • Lead change initiatives to improve sourcing efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Sourcing teams to align roadmaps and decisions.

Krav

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check required.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Deep industry knowledge relevant for Tier1 Contract Manufacturing in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis to formulate sourcing strategies.
  • Experience in delivering best in class total cost of ownership (TCO) and continuity of supply (COS), and in building partnerships.
  • Expertise in financial statement analysis to derive should-cost models.
  • Combination of business and technical knowledge base.
  • Project/timeline (Consumer Electronics Integrated Project Management) adherence experiences.
  • Ability to articulate points of view with executive management but execute plans when directed.
  • Proficient in mastering Microsoft systems and processes.
  • Passionate about opportunities to establish new approach to sourcing.
  • Ability to communicate and think strategically to support ideology with facts.

Förmåner

  • Base pay range of USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (US), with a different range applicable to San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area (USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year).
