The Under the Roof Labor Planning Technology (UTRPT) team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to design and scale backend services for labor planning across Amazon's operations. This role involves leading technical initiatives, integrating machine learning models, and mentoring engineers.

Ansvarsområden

  • Own the design and delivery of complex, distributed backend services at the center of UTRPT's roadmap.
  • Make architecture decisions that scale cleanly across new business lines and geographies.
  • Partner with Science and Data Engineering teams to productionize machine learning models and data pipelines.
  • Ensure reliability and operational excellence in production systems.
  • Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and testing strategy.
  • Lead cross-team technical initiatives that resolve ambiguity into shippable plans.
  • Mentor engineers toward senior-level ownership through technical guidance and operational best practices.

Krav

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
