Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Senior SOC Physical Design Engineer in Santa Clara, California. This role focuses on the physical design flow of high-speed DDR and graphics, including planning, place and route, and physical verification for SOC products. Ansvarsområden

  • Independently plans and performs physical design flow of high-speed DDR, graphics, physical verification flows, microarchitecture, SOC algorithm design and modeling, and methodology.
  • Focuses on target power utilization and optimization for system-on-chip (SoC) products and their impact on power and performance.
  • Responsibilities include Floor Planning, Clock Tree Synthesis, Place and Route, PDN, and Timing analysis and closure.
  • Performs various physical verification checks (such as LVS, DRC, design-for-manufacturing & design-for-yield) at the chip and block levels.
  • Provides schedules and supports cross-functional engineering efforts to drive to signoff closure for tapeout.
  • Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Krav

  • Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.
  • Experience with high-speed DDR and graphics physical design flow.
  • Experience with physical verification flows.
  • Experience with microarchitecture, SOC algorithm design and modeling.
  • Experience with Floor Planning, Clock Tree Synthesis, Place and Route, PDN, Timing analysis and closure.
  • Experience with LVS, DRC, design-for-manufacturing & design-for-yield checks.
  • Ability to provide schedules and support cross-functional engineering effort to drive to signoff closure for tapeout.
  • Strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.
