Emerson seeks a Senior Project Engineer in Chennai to support project managers in Asia Pacific and the Fisher Chennai Engineering Center. The role involves assisting with project execution, schedule management, and customer order processing, with opportunities to lead Tier 2 projects and train junior staff.

Ansvarsområden

Assist project managers in Asia Pacific and Fisher Chennai Engineering Center.
Distribute work, monitor progress, and resolve issues under PMO/Project Manager guidance.
Own the overall project execution schedule and ensure on-time delivery.
Attend post-award meetings and ensure accurate customer order input.
Participate in customer PO reconciliation.
Direct project personnel (Order Administration, Engineering, Drafting, Plant Project Coordinators).
Monitor project progress and submit status reports.
Follow up and expedite departments for scope of work.
Coordinate submission and receipt of project deliverables (e.g., ITP, drawings, certificates).
Ensure project invoicing is completed per agreements and resolve discrepancies.
Implement change order processing.
Interface with various departments to resolve project execution issues.
Function as Project Manager for Tier 2 projects.
Provide additional project support as directed.
Train juniors in Project management practices.

Krav

Minimum 8 years of experience in control valves engineering.
In-depth knowledge of control valve products and Bill of Material processing.
Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms.
Ability to develop and present innovative solutions.
Ability to optimize work processes and improve performance metrics.
Awareness of other Emerson products.
Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
PMP Preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Readiness to take up new challenges.
Time management, Problem Solving, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge on Fisher products and accessories is a plus.
