Emerson Flow Controls seeks a Senior Product Order Engineer in Chennai, India to manage customer orders for the Middle East and Africa region. Responsibilities include reviewing purchase orders, creating Bills of Materials (BOM), and ensuring accurate technical order construction throughout the manufacturing process.

Ansvarsområden

  • Review customer purchase orders from Sales & LBP teams.
  • Transform purchase orders into accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Release orders to MEA factories.
  • Drive continuous improvement on metrics and ensure accurate technical order constructions in business systems.
  • Perform detailing activities necessary to communicate an accurate Bill of Materials to Manufacturing.
  • Communicate with internal sales team, LBPs, Global Industry Sales, R&D Engineering, Project management to ensure proper form, fit and function for the bill of materials provided.
  • Verify the completeness and correctness of product structure against the technical specs.
  • Monitor the progress of orders and escalate issues to ensure timely release of items to manufacturing.
  • Provide a high level of ownership of completed work through the production process.
  • Support order engineers in preparing Bills of Materials for special valve construction.
  • Initiate requests to R&D Engineering team for new drawings as and when required.
  • Support change order owner in determining the change order charges and delivery impact.
  • Works with Sales team, operations team, and other internal functions on the customer requirements and resolve issues.
  • Provide timely response to order enquiries and act as a point of escalation when necessary.
  • Responsible for providing monthly reports addressing Unclean orders, New Design requests, New part number creations with Customer specific processing, change order reports, Right First-Time issue reports.
  • Participate and embrace in continuous process improvements focused on systems and reporting.
  • Process special instructions and changes as required for the construction.
  • Validate special constructions against quotation & engineering resources.
  • Support Department targets to reduce Order Engineering /Engineering lead times and Backlog.
  • Perform mentoring and coaching team members on functional activities.
  • Support for training and development of team and new members.

Krav

  • Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in highly Mechanical / Design / Technology focused role.
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ Overall experience.
  • Knowledge in Fisher engineering tools, SAP, Oracle Business system, JDE, Microsoft or any other ERP system is mandatory.
  • In-Depth understanding on the quote to cash processes.
  • Mechanical /technical drawing interpretations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet quick turnaround time.
  • Fisher 1300 and Fisher RED BELT certified are mandatory.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Order Engineering experience in Fisher control valves would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in control valves (Sales & Application, Order Engineering, Manufacturing).
