Emerson is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. This on-site, full-time role involves leading mechanical engineering efforts, managing customer technical matters, performing engineering design, and supporting project lifecycles. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience and strong customer-facing skills.

Ansvarsområden

Lead Mechanical Engineer and assist Project Manager in project interfaces and resolving technical clarification with Customers.
Lead meetings with Customers and End-Users.
Serve as the front-facing member to Customers during project execution phases for technical matters.
Review contract documents, project specifications, evaluate project risks, and ensure technical compliance to Customer’s requirements and Industry Codes and Standards.
Perform engineering design, calculations, and drawings in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
Prepare project documents for submission according to schedule.
Evaluate quotes from vendors for compliance to project specifications.
Review documentation from vendors for compliance to project requirements.
Work closely with Project Manager and project team members on skid fabrication works.
Responsible for receipt and review of all applicable equipment test certificates, instruction manuals and hand over to Document Controller for compilation of final documentation.
Lead and follow through the complete project life cycle from bidding stage to site commissioning and warranty period.
Advise and lend technical expertise to Sales & Proposal team during pursuit of new projects.
Conduct FAT with Customers, Third Party Inspectors and Client’s Representatives.
Provide after-sales and warranty support to Customers and End-Users.
Coach and provide guidance to Engineers and Designers.
Work on multiple projects efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on project delivery schedule.

Krav

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 or more years of relevant working experience.
Good personality, interpersonal savvy, communication skills, self-motivated.
Customer focused and result driven.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Conversant with ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, NACE, BPVC, Piping codes, Oil & Gas International Code and Standard.
Good working knowledge of Autocad, Cadworx, 3D modeling software, CAESAR II, Staad-Pro, piping stresses, structural analysis and hydraulic fluid calculations.
