Tetra Pak is looking for a Senior Material Specialist to join their Base Materials Polymer Technology team in Lund, Sweden. This role involves technical supplier management, material characterization, and supporting innovation in polymer-based materials for food packaging.

Ansvarsområden

  • Technical supplier management for grade optimisation and streamlining.
  • Develop and maintain material specifications.
  • Understand the impact of evolving customer demands on the specification portfolio.
  • Ensure supplier compliance to specifications and drive supplier quality improvement.
  • Support projects with material characterisation and choices.
  • Link material characteristics to product performance.
  • Perform concept studies and knowledge building activities.
  • Optimise base material portfolio through subsystem testing, enabling modelling and supporting projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across functional and international borders.
  • Conduct problem-solving and supplier visits.

Krav

  • Relevant university degree.
  • Expert knowledge in polymer chemistry, physics and/or mechanics.
  • Good understanding of modeling and simulation.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience from the polymer industry (preferably polyethylene or polypropylene) or food packaging material industry.
  • Analytical and structured mindset.
  • Good communicator.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and continuous change.
  • Actively shares knowledge.
