Spotify is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Personalization team in New York. You will design, build, and deploy LLM-based solutions for music recommendations and playlist generation, collaborating with cross-functional partners to impact millions of users globally. The role requires a strong background in machine learning, NLP, and generative AI, with experience in production-ready ML systems and large-scale data processing tools.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, build, evaluate, and ship LLM-based solutions for adaptive listening experiences.
  • Work on prompted playlist experiences focused on music fulfillment and session generation.
  • Collaborate with user research, design, data science, product, and engineering teams.
  • Prototype new ML approaches and deploy them at global scale.
  • Build and improve systems connecting artists and fans.
  • Contribute to scalable ML systems serving hundreds of millions of users.
  • Promote best practices in ML system design, testing, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Contribute to the machine learning practitioner community at Spotify.

Krav

  • Experienced in machine learning and solving complex real-world problems.
  • Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
  • Comfortable applying theory to build real-world, production-ready applications.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end ML systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with LLM-based systems and techniques like reinforcement fine-tuning or DPO.
  • Experience designing modular ML architectures and writing technical specifications.
  • Experienced with large-scale distributed data processing tools (Apache Beam, Apache Spark).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
