Sandvik Group is seeking a Senior IT Strategist to shape the strategic direction of its IT function. This role involves aligning enterprise strategy with technology decisions, advising senior leadership, and driving digital transformation initiatives. The position is based in Stockholm or Sandviken, Sweden.

Ansvarsområden

  • Evolve the Group IT strategy, aligning it with Sandvik Group strategy and enterprise objectives.
  • Own the strategic narrative, turning analysis into clear, persuasive material for senior leaders.
  • Advise the CIO and Group IT Leadership Team on digital, technology, and transformation decisions.
  • Lead strategic dialogues with Business Area CIOs and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze market intelligence, technology trends, and peer practices to inform strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with Product Area Managers and Enterprise Architects to develop Group IT technology vision and product strategies.
  • Work with CIO Office colleagues on operating model, performance management, and communication to ensure consistency.

Krav

  • Extensive experience from leading in-house or consulting roles in IT strategy, digital transformation, or enterprise architecture within complex, international organizations.
  • Demonstrated track record of defining enterprise-level strategy, advising senior executives, and translating strategic ambition into clear organizational direction.
  • A university degree in Business Administration, IT, or Engineering.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect IT direction with enterprise value creation.
  • Executive-level stakeholder management and influence across complex, federated organizations.
  • Experience from synthesizing complex information, producing decision-making materials, and framing strategic trade-offs.
  • Experience of translating strategy into measurable outcomes, including OKRs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
