Senior Financial Analyst, Intl Emerging Stores FP&A

Description

Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Analyst in its emerging Stores FP&A team. This FP&A team is central to Amazon India Stores financial management. The team works across multiple finance and business teams for India Stores financials, owns financial variance analysis, and senior CXOs communication. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with finance and business teams, drive financial reporting, identify insights and opportunities to shape P&L for India Stores.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage finances of a high-growth business including:
• Performing financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling. Presenting recommendations to business leadership on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives
• Facilitate financial reviews with business group and work with business leaders to ensure effective P&L management.
• Develop reporting mechanisms and flag risks and opportunities to leadership with root-cause analysis and recommended actions
• Analyze P&L trends across channels and categories to surface profitability improvement opportunities
• Write clear, insight-led narratives that translate complex data into "so what" recommendations for senior leaders
• Collaborate with Cross functional Finance and business teams to align on shared goals- Manage financial planning and analysis, forecasting using the key input levers to the business.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of finance, tax or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance)

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Familiar with artificial intelligence tools, hands-on experience with prompt engineering
