Qualcomm is looking for a Senior Director of Engineering with expertise in Networking Product development. This role involves defining PPE requirements, developing PPE architecture, and driving cross-functional teams to ensure product success in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.

Ansvarsområden

  • Oversees the definition of PPE requirements including performance, power, cost, and feature requirements driven by products like automotive/TSN.
  • Develops PPE architecture for complex features and identifies enhancements for PPE performance and effectiveness.
  • Works with stakeholders (PdM, software teams) to establish networking objectives and convert them into architectural designs in PPE.
  • Tracks industry developments and integrates innovative technical solutions for PPE/networking engine performance.
  • Drives teams across PPE design, verification, and validation to identify and solve issues.
  • Facilitates model/design reviews and ensures alignment with customer needs and PPE roadmap.
  • Adds value to platform, methodology, and tools for PPE modeling.
  • Oversees technical approach for simulations and analyses of power, performance, and KPIs at PPE level.
  • Guides DE/DV teams for PPE forwarding plane functions and supports DV team coverage.
  • Ensures effective model-to-DV translation.
  • Supports software team in enabling system-level functions and feature bring-up related to PPE.
  • Acts as an expert resource on PPE-related trends and advances.
  • Communicates guidelines for writing technical documentation, specifications, and feature descriptions.
  • Writes and reviews PPE documentation for clarity across various audiences.

Krav

  • Demonstrated experience translating PdM/SW requirements into Packet processing engine (PPE) architectural designs and supporting enablement across implementation teams (Design/DV/VI/SW).
  • Deep experience in networking-related architecture/design.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication in English and Chinese.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional influence capability.
  • Strong debugging and system-level problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations with tight schedules.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in networking datapath / packet processing / ASIC architecture or related work.
  • Prefer 15+ years of experience in networking-related architecture/design.
  • Prefer 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
  • Prefer 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports.
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MS and higher preferred).
