I korthet

Atlas Copco is seeking a Senior Designer for their Portable Air Division in Antwerp, Belgium, to develop future product ranges of mobile compressors. The role involves creating designs, optimizing them for functionality and cost, and collaborating with various teams. A bachelor's or master's degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with CAD system knowledge.

Ansvarsområden

  • Prepare and create full (pre) feasibility studies.
  • Develop design plans with the project engineer and meet deadlines.
  • Complete designs for new products according to master specifications.
  • Optimize designs for functionality, quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Consult with suppliers, production, SQA, purchasing, and service departments to improve designs.
  • Plan and coordinate design work when multiple designers are involved.
  • Collaborate with Gecia to set targets, deadlines, and follow up.
  • Prepare and release bills of materials and drawings.
  • Follow up on prototypes, including build-up and processing feedback.
  • Check designs (3D & 2D).
  • Collaborate with senior designers from other teams to improve the design process.
  • Contribute to the knowledge database with experience and lessons-learned.
  • Train and advise new designers.

Krav

  • Extensive knowledge of 3D design & 2D annotations of industrial products using CAD systems.
  • Good knowledge of English, Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience in Creo and/or Inventor.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical skills to develop and evaluate solutions.
