Electrolux Group is seeking a Senior Design System Engineer to lead the frontend development of their multibrand design system, SHAPE. This role involves creating and maintaining shared assets, improving accessibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product consistency and efficiency. The position is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, offering a hybrid work environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead and deliver the frontend part of the design system.
  • Help improve the design system by supporting other engineers and strengthening collaboration.
  • Create and continuously improve usable design system assets that meet and exceed accessibility standards.
  • Align the design system with company goals by improving efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Participate in conversations and workshops with stakeholders, users, and contributors.
  • Explore and apply AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Design experiences from concept to implementation, including high-quality mobile UX.
  • Use data, insights, and research to inform design decisions.
  • Bring concepts to life with prototypes.
  • Drive collaboration across the design process by leading co-creation sessions and workshops.
  • Work with and evolve the Electrolux Group design system and pattern library.
  • Build strong relationships with designers across the global Electrolux organization.

Krav

  • Frontend engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience working on a design system team, delivering and maintaining shared assets (components, design tokens, patterns, guidelines, documentation).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement designs effectively.
  • Understanding of frontend engineering principles and component architecture.
  • Proficiency in code quality, accessibility, and agile development practices.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills.
  • Strong React skills.
  • Comfort using AI as a natural part of daily work.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience maintaining open-source libraries or shared internal tools used by multiple teams or developers is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate design intent into code, both visually and functionally.
  • An eye for detail.
