Emerson is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Pune, India, with expertise in mechanical engineering, product configuration, and technical documentation. This hybrid role involves creating BOMs, developing GADs, supporting manufacturing, and collaborating with global teams. The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills and understanding of engineering fundamentals.

Ansvarsområden

  • Create bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation for configured products.
  • Develop general arrangement drawings (GADs) and collaborate with automation teams for valve solutions.
  • Support manufacturing validation activities and resolve technical challenges on the shop floor.
  • Deliver engineering documentation within defined timelines.
  • Support product selection and quoting teams.
  • Continuously improve documentation quality, processes, and turnaround times.

Krav

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with engineering documentation (bills of materials, drawings, product configuration).
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management systems (e.g., Enovia).
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and design calculations.
  • Experience with enterprise systems like ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, LN BaaN).
  • Awareness of international engineering and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to collaborate with global teams across time zones.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in manufacturing or shop floor environments.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in industrial products.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience working with industrial valves, especially butterfly valves or similar products.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards for valve design and performance.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing validation, localization, or product transfer initiatives.
  • Exposure to automation or digital tools such as VBA, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of product certification and compliance processes.
  • Experience working in global or matrix organizations.
