Caterpillar is looking for a Senior Business Specialist with D365 FandSCM Finance experience in Bangalore, India. This role focuses on supporting the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP template for dealers, with specialization in Retail & Commerce and knowledge in Finance. Responsibilities include leading implementations, architecting solutions, driving integrations, and managing product roadmaps.

Ansvarsområden

  • Define and own Dynamics 365 Retail & Commerce architecture, with Finance as a supporting domain.
  • Translate complex retail and dealer requirements into secure, high-performing ERP solutions.
  • Drive integration strategies between CE, F&O, third-party, and legacy systems (including Dual Write and Dataverse).
  • Design and configure Retail, Commerce, POS, Pricing, Promotions, Loyalty, and Finance modules.
  • Stay current with Microsoft D365 updates and recommend architecture enhancements.
  • Conduct gap/fit analysis across Retail, Commerce, and Finance workstreams.
  • Manage release dependencies and clarify ERP requirements.
  • Manage DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and environment strategies for Retail & Commerce projects.
  • Oversee Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).
  • Build strong relationships with Caterpillar Digital leads, external vendors, and Caterpillar Dealers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dealer retail processes and drive operational consistency.
  • Prepare technical and non-technical documentation, workflows, and playbooks.
  • Collaborate with training departments to deliver Retail ERP training programs and provide ongoing support.

Krav

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail & Commerce (or related platforms) in a product or process leadership role.
  • Understanding of Retail configuration, POS, pricing, promotions, loyalty programs, and Finance integrations.
  • Knowledge of retail product lifecycle management, including adoption and change management.
  • Strong understanding of retail and commerce operations: POS, promotions, loyalty, pricing, order fulfillment, and dealer/customer engagement.
  • Ability to identify gaps in retail processes and design system-driven solutions.
  • Analytical skills to interpret retail and commerce performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly terms.
  • Skilled at facilitating workshops, demos, and discussions with retail, IT, and dealer stakeholders.
  • Proven experience owning a product backlog, defining roadmaps, and managing releases.
  • Skilled in writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder input.
  • Comfortable leading sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience as Product Owner, Retail Analyst, or Process Lead with end-to-end knowledge of POS, promotions, loyalty, pricing, and order fulfilment.
  • Skilled in reviewing, preparing, and maintaining high-quality test scripts; executes functional, regression, integration, and performance testing with clear defect documentation.
  • Experienced in integration strategies (OData, REST APIs, DMF, Dual Write) and data migration for Retail & Commerce.

  • Awareness of Microsoft release cycles and ability to assess new features for business value.
  • Experience supporting KPIs such as sales uplift, customer retention, order accuracy, and margin optimization.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Dynamics 365 dashboards) for retail performance.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills to align diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach to building consensus and driving adoption across departments.
  • Proven experience as Product Owner, Retail Analyst, or Process Lead with end-to-end knowledge of POS, promotions, loyalty, pricing, and order fulfilment.
  • Familiarity with global dealer networks, retail operations, and industrial commerce best practices; Dealer/Rental industry exposure is a plus.
  • Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience, driving backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and system enhancement delivery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Dynamics dashboards for reporting and performance monitoring.
