I korthet

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Content Platform team. You will build and operate backend services and data pipelines for music content ingestion, and contribute to designing and evolving APIs and schemas. The role offers flexibility to work from London or Stockholm.

Ansvarsområden

Build and run backend services and data pipelines that ingest, validate, and process music deliveries from partners, covering audio, metadata, lyrics, and new content types.
Own large parts of the ingestion pipeline and lead technical work for new content types like video and richer partner data.
Improve ingestion reliability, detect data quality issues at the point of entry, and enhance operational tooling for the pipeline.
Design and evolve APIs and schemas that other teams depend on, ensuring stable and backward-compatible contracts.
Contribute to making validation near real-time and developing Silk Road into a well-documented, self-serve platform.
Deliver roadmap items, participate in planning, review code, and share on-call responsibilities.
Collaborate with Content Ops, operations tooling teams, partner teams, and product teams that utilize our content.

Krav

Strong experience building and operating backend services and data pipelines in production at scale, ideally in Java, Scala, or Go.
Proven ability to design APIs and handle schema evolution and backward compatibility in systems where other teams rely on stable contracts.
Comfort modeling data for auditability, versioning, and efficient querying.
Understanding of tradeoffs between real-time and batch processing.
Experience leading projects from discovery to handover.
Ability to make sound technical decisions and mentor others.

Experience with B2B partner integrations.
Experience with rights or compliance-sensitive data.
Experience with lyrics or time-synced data.
Experience with GCP.
