Emerson is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Mexicali, Mexico. This role involves developing business strategies, identifying opportunities to build internal technical capabilities, and analyzing market trends. The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to align business strategy with plant needs and support faster product validation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and execute strategic market and product line business plans aligned with growth and operational efficiency goals.
  • Identify opportunities to build internal technical capabilities, including test stand design and development.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and internal capabilities to define strategic direction.
  • Support the transition from external procurement to in-house solutions, improving cost efficiency and flexibility.
  • Create compelling business cases and presentations to support investment and capability development decisions.
  • Evaluate make-versus-buy scenarios, including partnerships, acquisitions, and internal development opportunities.
  • Conduct assessments for joint ventures, licensing agreements, and collaborative engineering initiatives.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to align business strategy with plant needs.
  • Support faster execution of product validation and testing through improved internal processes and tools.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders across functions and locations, leveraging best practices from sister plants.
