As a Senior Audio Software Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimizing, triaging and supporting audio functionalities for Amazon's next generation devices. You will be working on DSP firmware, Linux drivers and middleware for audio on embedded products.

Key job responsibilities
If you have exposure or expertise in one or more of the below skills, then this job is for you:
- Audio software stack on Android/QNX/Windows/Any proprietary OS
- DSP architectures (Cadence/Tensilica/TI)
- Linux Audio driers (ALSA/Pulse Audio/Pipewire)
- Audio HAL
- Dolby MS12/DTS/MPEG-TS
- Audio/Video Sync
- STB/DTV audio systems
- I2S/TDM protocols
- Familiarity with using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Audio Precision tools

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design audio features that work across various embedded products
- Develop audio software that runs on ARM/DSP using Bare metal, Linux and other high level OSes
- Optimization and porting of audio and speech processing algorithms
- Integration of vendor hardware and software stacks
- Tune hardware for highest audio performance and lowest noise
- Be passionate, responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment
- Be able and willing to multi-task and learn new technologies quickly

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working on Audio software for DSP/ARM, Linux audio driver development, Android audio platform development

Preferred Qualifications

- 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
