Saab is seeking experienced Senior Assemblers for the 1st Shift at their Grayling, Michigan facility. Responsibilities include assembling munitions, adhering to safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement. A High School Diploma and 4+ years of related experience are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions in a team-based environment.
  • Understand and adhere to ESD and Explosive Safety control procedures.
  • Support daily continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
  • Sign off when work is complete according to specification.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer to new employees.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Work extended hours and weekend overtime when required.

Krav

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of related experience in mechanics, mechanical assembly, or a related field.
  • Experience operating automated equipment and a strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and manufacturing workflows in a team-based production or assembly environment.
  • Ability to handle diverse material scales with precision and safety.
  • Ability to operate automated equipment while optimizing mechanical assembly processes and manufacturing workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in root-cause problem-solving initiatives.
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects, recommending and implementing new operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging specialized tools, equipment, and manufacturing software.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Working/handling of munitions or other hazardous materials is desired.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as consistent bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, gripping, standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including the use of handheld power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently, and up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion.
  • Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
