Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist for its Search Relevance India team in Bengaluru. This role involves building machine learning models for product search, developing new ranking features, and designing production-level code for billions of search requests. Ansvarsområden

Build machine learning models for Product Search.
Develop new ranking features and techniques.
Propose and validate hypothesis to direct business and product road maps.
Work with engineers to make low latency model predictions and scale system throughput.
Identify and solve customer problems with simple and elegant solutions.
Design, develop, and implement production level code that serves billions of search requests.
Own the full development cycle: design, development, impact assessment, A/B testing and production deployment.
Collaborate with other engineers and related teams within A9.com and Amazon.com to find technical solutions.
Take ownership of projects and long-term impact.
Lead and mentor team members.
Tackle hard problems.
Work alongside systems engineers, machine learning scientists, and data analysts.
Learn to use Amazon's technologies, technical tools, and resources effectively.
Work backwards from customer problems, figure out elegant solutions, and implement them for speed and scalability.

Krav

6+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
PhD, or Master's degree
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
