Emerson is looking for a Senior Application Engineer in Chennai, India, to support large projects in Europe. The role involves reviewing specifications, selecting control valves using proprietary software, preparing technical and commercial quotes, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Ansvarsområden
- Review project specifications and prepare deviations list
- Clarify technical specifications through conference calls
- Sizing and selection of control valves using proprietary FisherFirst software
- Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list and generate reports and drawings
- Provide support on project revisions from Customer
- Support Sales office after the issue of PO and prepare transaction for order entry
- Provide technical support for OE /factory clarifications and assist with change orders
- Troubleshoot site issues
- Independently handle quote to commit process
- Experienced to handle TBE meetings with customers independently
Krav
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in control valves engineering
- In depth knowledge of control valve products and industry application
- Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms
- Should be an effective team player for on-time project submission
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering
- Knowledge on Fisher products and accessories would be a plus
- Awareness of other Emerson products & Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products
- Develop and present innovative solutions for problems if they may arise
- Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
