Google Cloud is looking for a Senior AI/ML Hardware Architect in Bengaluru, India, to drive the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration. You will shape cutting-edge TPU technology, developing custom silicon solutions and influencing the architecture for next-generation TPUs. This role requires a deep understanding of hardware design, performance analysis, and the hardware/software interface, contributing to Google's most demanding AI/ML applications.

Ansvarsområden

Develop architecture specifications for AI/ML roadmap, including power/performance models and microarchitecture.
Own microarchitecture of compute blocks and subsystems, collaborating with hardware design, software, compiler, and ML teams for hardware/software codesign.
Evaluate silicon solutions for Google’s data center AI accelerator roadmap, including vendor co-developments and custom designs.
Create high-performance hardware/software interfaces and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design completeness and performance.
Identify and drive power, performance, and area improvements, and contribute to simulation tools.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in architecture/micro-architecture design of graphics, ML, or networking fabrics (e.g., Ethernet/ROCE/UAL/NVlink), or managing low precision/mixed precision numerics/vector processors/DSP processors, or architecting networking ASICs.
Experience in memory hierarchy on chip fabrics, memory controllers, HBM, and DRAM technologies.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with software teams optimizing the hardware/software interface.
Experience in performance analysis and modeling, defining and driving performance test plans.
Experience in programming languages like C++ and Python.
Knowledge of arithmetic units, bus architectures, accelerators, memory hierarchies, and high-performance/low-power design techniques.
Use of ML tools for building smarter tools.
