We are seeking an experienced Compute – Windows L2 Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in managing enterprise Windows infrastructure. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, administration, maintenance, patching, performance optimization, and operational support for Windows Server environments, including on-premises and cloud platforms.

Ansvarsområden

Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) and associated services.
Perform server provisioning, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, decommissioning, and health checks.
Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, service, connectivity, storage, and resource-utilization issues.
Take ownership of L2 incidents escalated from L1 teams and resolve within SLAs.
Perform detailed troubleshooting using Event Viewer, performance counters, logs, and PowerShell.
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring and major infrastructure incidents.
Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows services.
Support Windows workloads hosted on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Support Windows workloads running on VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Plan and execute Windows Server patching and security remediation activities.
Use PowerShell for server administration, health checks, troubleshooting, and automation.
Troubleshoot Windows server backup failures and coordinate resolution.
Plan, document, and execute infrastructure changes following Change Management procedures.
Develop and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.

Krav

5-7 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure.
Strong hands-on administration experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows Services, NTFS permissions, and domain authentication.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows server performance, OS, service, storage, and network-connectivity issues.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Windows workloads.
Good experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Experience with enterprise Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing basics, ports, firewall connectivity, RDP, and name resolution.
Knowledge of server backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
Experience using infrastructure monitoring and alert-management platforms.
Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management processes.
Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and document technical resolutions.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to independently manage complex L2 incidents and technical escalations.
Effective communication and coordination with global technical teams and stakeholders.
Good technical documentation and knowledge-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-vendor and cross-functional environment.
Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to L1 engineers.
Comfortable working in a 24x7 infrastructure operations/support environment.
