As a Senior AVD Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the technical lead for the operational support and optimization of the MBO application hosted on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in Chennai, India. This role involves L3 engineering support for AVD infrastructure, image lifecycle management, application delivery, automation, and incident resolution to ensure a stable and performant user experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Serve as the L3 technical escalation point for RightAngle/MBO application services hosted on Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Manage and support AVD host pools, session hosts, workspaces, application groups, FSLogix profiles, and supporting Azure services.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, availability, capacity, and user experience.
  • Perform incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure, application delivery, profile, authentication, and connectivity issues.
  • Own the AVD Golden Image lifecycle for RightAngle/MBO environments, including monthly updates, patching, and validation.
  • Execute image build automation processes and maintain image version governance.
  • Support RightAngle/MBO application delivery through RemoteApp and coordinate with SMEs for upgrades and testing.
  • Implement and support monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Nexthink, Nerdio Manager, Azure Workbooks and Dashboards.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Nerdio Automation.

Krav

  • L3 technical escalation point for AVD infrastructure.
  • Experience managing AVD host pools, session hosts, workspaces, application groups, FSLogix profiles.
  • Experience in monitoring platform health, performance, and user experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting infrastructure, application delivery, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience with AVD Golden Image lifecycle management, including Windows patching and security remediation.
  • Experience with image build automation processes.
  • Experience supporting application delivery via RemoteApp.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Nexthink, Nerdio Manager.
  • Experience developing automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Nerdio Automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC for identity and access management.

  • Serve as the technical lead responsible for the operational support, stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the MBO (Multi Blend Optimizer) application hosted on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Provide L3 engineering support for AVD infrastructure, image lifecycle management, application delivery, automation, monitoring, incident resolution, change implementation, and operational governance.
  • Work closely with application SMEs, Azure platform teams, cybersecurity teams, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft, Chevron platform teams, and application vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in major incident management, problem management, and service restoration activities.
  • Coordinate image deployment schedules and maintenance windows with stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot image build failures, patching issues, and application compatibility concerns.
  • Maintain image engineering documentation and deployment procedures.
  • Coordinate with RightAngle/MBO SMEs for application upgrades, testing, and operational support activities.
  • Troubleshoot application launch failures, performance bottlenecks, integration issues, and user access concerns.
  • Validate application functionality after image updates, platform changes, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure RightAngle/MBO environment compliance with business and operational requirements.
  • Support Scheduled DLL, DSN & Config file sync related issues.
  • Perform trend analysis and capacity planning.
  • Drive operational efficiency through automation and self-healing solutions.
  • Optimize user experience, session performance, login duration, profile performance, and host utilization.
  • Provide recommendations for cost optimization and resource utilization.
  • Support identity and access management activities using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC controls.
  • Ensure compliance with Chevron security standards.
