Microsoft is seeking a Security Engineer II for its Cloud & AI organization, specifically within the Microsoft Red Team (MRT). This role involves emulating real-world advanced persistent threats against Microsoft's Azure cloud platform to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with other red teamers and security personnel to assess and improve the security posture of services across various layers.

Ansvarsområden

Discover and exploit vulnerabilities end-to-end to assess service security.
Execute Red Team operations using adversarial tactics to validate detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
Advocate for security changes by building partnerships and communicating risk impact.
Analyze data sources, including source code, to find security weaknesses.
Collaborate with Blue Teams to enhance readiness and develop solutions.
Analyze simulated adversary tactics to enrich response tactics and threat intelligence.
Leverage Artificial Intelligence and agentic approaches for vulnerability discovery and threat emulation.

Krav

Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in security or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in security or related field OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

3+ years' experience in identifying security vulnerabilities, cyber security or related security discipline, or software engineering-related field.

Typical base pay range across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year.
Specific base pay range in San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
