As a Robotics Validation Engineer at ABB, you will ensure the quality and reliability of autonomous mobile robot software by executing and improving validation activities. You will work hands-on with robotic platforms, investigate issues, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and verify fixes.
Ansvarsområden
- Executing and documenting validation activities for new features, bug fixes, and software releases on robotic platforms.
- Investigating test failures, reproducing issues, and working with development teams to identify root causes and verify fixes.
- Maintaining and extending manual and automated test suites, collaborating with the test automation team to increase automation coverage.
- Continuously improving validation workflows, test environments, and release readiness criteria by identifying opportunities to increase testing efficiency and product quality.
Krav
- A degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with a focus on robotic systems.
- Experience working hands-on with robotic platforms or other complex hardware-software systems for testing, integration, or troubleshooting.
- Good programming skills in Python and familiarity with Linux-based systems.
- Experience executing and documenting structured validation or test activities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and work systematically to resolve issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Industrial experience in software testing, validation engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Familiarity with robotics concepts such as localization, navigation, perception, or AMRs.
- Experience with ROS is a plus.
