Emerson's Test & Measurement business is seeking an RF Sustaining Engineer in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. This hybrid role involves leading product redesigns, performing failure analysis, and supporting manufacturing for RF test & measurement solutions to ensure product lifecycle extension and quality.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead redesign activities for EOL components in RF Test & Measurement products.
  • Redesign and validate circuits across analog, power supply, RF, and microwave domains.
  • Evaluate and qualify alternative components while minimizing impact to hardware, software, and calibration.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing teams to incorporate DFM improvements.
  • Develop POC designs and prototypes to validate redesign approaches.
  • Support PCB layout reviews and contribute to circuit design improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis for issues identified during verification, validation, and manufacturing.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies for product issue resolution.
  • Document technical findings, corrective actions, and project progress.
  • Develop debug tools, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Drive successful deployment of redesign projects into manufacturing.
  • Support NPI, Ship & Ramp, calibration, and production activities.
  • Provide technical training and ongoing support to manufacturing and FA teams.

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in hardware design, sustaining engineering, or RF/analog product development.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design, power supply design, and RF fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis, root cause investigation, and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to travel to Austin, Texas, for training and collaboration.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience in RF and microwave circuit design within Test & Measurement products.
  • Exposure to analog filters, active/passive circuit design, DSP concepts, and PCB layout development.
  • Familiarity with NI/Emerson RF products, calibration processes, and T&M industry standards.
  • Knowledge of Board Level Best Practices (BLBP) and Analog Design Best Practices (ADBP).
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and global teams.
