As a Retail Sales Planning Keyholder at IKEA Gurnee Mills, you will be responsible for optimizing the customer shopping experience and maximizing sales. This role involves providing interior design guidance, selling specialized home furnishing solutions, and building customer relationships. You will also assist with day-to-day store operations and ensure a safe work environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Provide guidance on layout, color, style, and accessories for residential and business customers using knowledge of interior design.
  • Sell specialized home furnishing solutions like kitchens, bath, storage systems, and services.
  • Create relationships with customers to identify needs and provide support.
  • Apply measurement techniques and understanding of planning, design, and construction for accurate orders.
  • Drive repeat visitation by ensuring the sales team is customer-centric.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing duties when assigned.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, handling escalated customer issues, injuries, and emergency protocols.
  • Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies regarding inventory, safety, cash, credit, and internal controls.
  • Ensure implementation of working routines and competence development related to the role.
  • Perform goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently.

Krav

  • Previous retail selling experience.
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and building new programs in a retail space.
  • Requires open availability seven days a week.
