Amazon is looking for a Regional WHS Manager to oversee safety operations in multiple Indian sort centers. The role requires leading a team, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies, and driving continuous improvement in safety culture and risk reduction through data analysis and lean principles.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead Amazon Transportation Systems’ WHS operations across multiple sort centers in India.
  • Lead a team of safety managers and partner with operations teams to execute WHS policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk using lean principles and kaizens.
  • Build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
  • Identify best practices and incorporate them into company safety policies.
  • Help execute leadership development plans for the Safety team and provide feedback.
  • Measure and communicate site performance against safety policy requirements.
  • Ensure site leadership is trained and knowledgeable about their responsibilities.
  • Gather input from Associates and leaders on safety improvement opportunities on the floor/yard/dock.
  • Inform leadership about required actions for safety concerns/suggestions.
  • Lead proactive hazard identification and abatement efforts (road safety, vehicle safety, loading/unloading, yard management) and track resolution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate response to uncontrolled risks.
  • Plan and conduct peer audits for policy compliance.
  • Analyze incident data to identify trends and justify resource allocation for high-risk areas.
  • Escalate risks presenting imminent danger or insufficient/delayed solutions.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience managing change in a multiple site environment with multiple direct reports.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, managing end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups).
  • 5+ years of warehouse/Site/Plant or manufacturing unit experience or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
