Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Regional Estimating Lead for the Americas to develop and manage project estimates for standard datacenter fleet projects. This role involves leading a team of estimators, partnering with cross-functional teams, and ensuring cost data consistency across regions.

Ansvarsområden

  • Estimate the cost of datacenter projects to support corporate plans.
  • Manage the AMERs regional team and all associated projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, construction, finance, etc.) to align with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain estimating databases and templates.
  • Report estimate data, project cost progress, and assumptions to senior management.
  • Perform various types of estimates and projects, prioritizing delivery dates.
  • Provide day-to-day Cost Management activities, including financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Support, develop, and improve estimating and cost management processes.
  • Drive standardization and consistency within the estimating group.
  • Manage commercial issues on all projects and report regularly to headquarters.

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years experience working on data center projects.
  • 10+ years project management experience.
  • 10+ years people management experience.
  • RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) full membership or equivalent.
  • Commercial knowledge of construction internationally.
  • Good communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to build trust with construction partners for large contract agreements.
  • Clear understanding of the full Construction Life Cycle.
  • Capability to perform all forms and types of estimates from parametric to bottoms up and high-level what-if scenarios.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills beyond estimating practice.

Förmåner

  • Typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year.
  • Specific pay range for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
