Emerson is seeking a Record to Report Senior Specialist in Escazú, Costa Rica. This hybrid role involves analyzing and completing general accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reviews, and account reconciliations. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience in general accounting, and strong English communication skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Analyze, complete, and follow up on general accounting activities.
  • Analyze and prepare manual journal entries.
  • Review balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Follow Standard Accounting Policies & Procedures according to USGAAP.
  • Ensure accurate responses to Shared Services customers.
  • Reconcile GL balance sheet accounts per reconciliation schedule.
  • Perform and collaborate in the accounting closing process.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
  • Ensure targets and deliverables are met according to SLA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support Emerson’s Continuous Improvement culture by challenging processes and generating improvements.
  • Leverage low-code tools to automate and optimize financial processes.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Participate in the monthly financial statement reporting process.
  • Develop analysis and information as requested by country controllers or Business Units.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English (B2 or higher).
  • At least 5 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge in Accruals, Prepaids, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Month End Processes/routines.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management (internal/external auditors, Finance Directors, and others).
  • Shared Services environments experience is required.
  • Knowledge, insight and experience in financial/accounting processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
  • Oracle (preferred) / SAP or other ERP experience is required.
  • Hyperion (HFM - preferred) or other reporting system is also required.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience working for the North America region.
  • Certifications and/or courses in Artificial Intelligence, Automation and other Continuous Improvement, Project Management, and Agile Methodologies, such as Yellow or Green Belt, PMP, Scrum Master or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in low-code platforms (Power query, power apps, power automate) for streamlining financial processes and reporting is preferred.
