Responsible for analyzing, completing, and following up on General Accounting activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. This hybrid role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5 years of experience in Shared Services environments, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Ansvarsområden
- Analyze, complete, and follow up on General Accounting activities.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries.
- Review balance sheet accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Implement improvements to processes.
- Follow Standard Accounting Policies & Procedures according to USGAAP.
- Respond accurately to Shared Services customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Support Emerson’s Continuous Improvement culture.
- Leverage low-code tools to automate and optimize financial processes.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Participate in the reporting process of financial statements.
- Develop analysis and information as requested by country controllers or Business Units.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written in English (B2 or higher).
- At least 5 years of experience in General Accounting.
- Shared Services environments experience is required.
- Knowledge, insight and experience in financial/accounting processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
- Oracle (preferred) / SAP or other ERP experience is required.
- Hyperion (HFM - preferred) or other reporting system is also required.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience working for the North America region.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge in Accruals, Prepaids, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Month End Processes/routines.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management (internal/external auditors, Finance Directors, and others).
- Proficiency in low-code platforms (Power query, power apps, power automate) for streamlining financial processes and reporting is preferred.
- Certifications and/or courses in Artificial Intelligence, Automation and other Continuous Improvement, Project Management, and Agile Methodologies, such as Yellow or Green Belt, PMP, Scrum Master or equivalent.
