Synopsys is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to contribute to the development of LS-DYNA and related software products. This role requires a deep understanding of the finite element method, computational mechanics, and strong programming skills in a collaborative team environment. Ansvarsområden
- Contribute to the development of LS-DYNA and related software products.
- Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
- Perform moderately complex development activities, including design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
- Employ best practices in software development.
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support.
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions.
- Understand marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
- Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
Krav
- Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master's Degree in Aerospace, Biomechanical, Mechanical Engineering, or other natural science discipline.
- Working experience with technical software development proven by academic, research, or industry projects.
- Good understanding and skills in programming.
- In-depth understanding of finite element method and related computational mechanics principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Master’s Degree or PhD Preferred
- Technical knowledge and experience with finite element simulation (e.g. LS-DYNA, Ansys), and CAD modeling.
- Background in computational solid mechanics, numerical methods, and preferably on high-performance computing on C/GPUs.
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, computational geometry, or computer graphics is an advantage but not a must.
- Experience with Fortran or C.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
