Synopsys is looking for an R&D Engineer II in Waltham, MA to join their software engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software products for chip design and verification, utilizing technologies like AI/ML and Cloud. A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with experience in APIs, databases, AWS, and Docker is required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
  • Perform moderately complex development activities, including design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
  • Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
  • Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
  • Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
  • Work under the general supervision of a development manager.

Krav

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related position.
  • Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases for storing and querying application data.
  • Experience working with AWS, particularly with serverless functions, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience working with Docker to build and containerize cloud-native applications in a large-scale software development environment.
