As a Radio Unit Design Lead in Yokohama, Japan, you will shape next-generation radio products by turning complex designs into production-ready solutions. This role involves technical leadership, design-quality ownership, and cross-functional coordination within a highly collaborative, international environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Own Radio Unit design across product creation and updates, coordinating activities for a complete RU solution.
  • Coordinate Trouble Report handling and follow-up at KRC/KRD level.
  • Plan and secure resources and test equipment for robust design activities, including EMC and HALT testing.
  • Support projects by providing resource-requirement inputs.
  • Plan and review production test documentation and perform required database updates.
  • Ensure special Supply capabilities, such as Burn-in test and Precise Repair, are ordered according to the established process.
  • Participate in project core-team meetings and drive SP meetings according to the HW Development Process and subprocesses.
  • Write PRI and Exemption documents at RU level.
  • Represent design in yield (FRAG) and claims (RRAG) meetings at KRC/KRD level.
  • Own overall RU design quality and act as the guardian of design quality at HW sublevels; plan and drive robustness testing at RU level.
  • Coordinate which external software databases are used in a software build for the RU.

Krav

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar discipline.
  • At least five years of professional experience, including at least three years in a relevant area.
  • Domain experience in Radio HW Design, electronics design, software design, and general hardware knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of Radio HW and SW, with an interest in HW/SW integration work in the design lab.
  • Team-leading, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to understand how the pieces fit together for a strong overall solution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly in spoken and written English.
  • Good knowledge of Git and Gerrit for database handling.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Knowledge of the Ericsson Radio Product Portfolio is beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of Ericsson documentation and numbering rules, as well as PRIM.
  • Self-motivation and the drive to take an idea from paper to a final product solution.
  • Japanese language skills are an advantage.
