Ericsson Canada Inc. is seeking a Radio Security Developer in Ottawa with strong cybersecurity and software development expertise. This role focuses on ensuring secure and reliable radio products through security engineering, system-level verification, and AI-enabled automation. Responsibilities include leading security testing, contributing to risk assessments, and developing security mitigations.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead and prioritize security testing activities across products, releases, and lab environments.
  • Drive application and network security testing, robustness validation, and vulnerability analysis.
  • Contribute to threat and risk assessments at feature and product level.
  • Design, implement, and validate software-based security mitigations and hardening measures.
  • Drive and contribute to security backlog activities from analysis through implementation and verification.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain nodal and end-to-end verification lab environments.
  • Plan and execute system-level verification activities across radio products, releases, and lab setups.
  • Reproduce, debug, and support resolution of complex field and customer issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines, including AI-enabled workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance to software development teams.
  • Document test strategies, results, recommendations, and supporting evidence.

Krav

  • Hands-on experience with nodal-level or virtualized network functions in telecom or similar distributed systems.
  • Strong background in radio security engineering and end-to-end verification.
  • Expertise in Linux, networking, automation, and field-debugging.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, vulnerability assessment, secure software development, or related security domains.
  • Solid understanding of key network and security protocols such as IPsec/IKEv2, TLS, SNMP, and LDAP.
  • Practical development experience with C/C++, Python, embedded Linux, Git/Gerrit, code reviews, debugging, and unit testing.
  • Experience with security testing workflows and tools such as fuzzing suites, web security tools, vulnerability scanners, SBOM/SCA tools, and packet analyzers.
  • Practical experience using AI or scripting to automate security and verification workflows.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Background in radio or access network hardware, or previous collaboration with hardware design and validation teams.
  • Experience integrating security and verification tooling into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-style environments.
  • Familiarity with secure software development models such as SSDF and creating documentation/guidelines.
  • Experience with threat and risk analysis at system or feature level.
  • Self-driven mindset for continuous security learning.
  • Security-related certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to radio products, including ISO 27001, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, the EU Radio Equipment Directive, the EU Cyber Resilience Act, NIST cybersecurity guidance, and post-quantum cryptography principles.
