ABB seeks an R&D Associate Engineer to support their Elastimold® Medium Voltage Solid Dielectric Switchgear team. This role involves applying mechanical engineering expertise to design, solve complex problems, and contribute innovative technical ideas using Creo software and structural analysis tools.

Ansvarsområden

Contribute to the Elastimold® Medium Voltage Solid Dielectric Switchgear R&D team, supporting design and development.
Apply technical expertise to solve engineering problems and create robust mechanical designs.
Develop design concepts and production drawing packages using Creo software.
Support project targets for quality, schedule, scope, and cost.
Perform structural analysis using computer simulation tools to evaluate and validate designs.
Maintain alignment with ABB's strategic direction.

Krav

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering focusing on sheet metal, welding, and fabrication.
Proficiency in Creo CAD for 3D/2D design and BOM development.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and production drawing documentation.
Experience with structural analysis and computer simulation tools.
Familiarity with quality measurement, inspection methodology, and basic assembly tools.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines accurately.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience in medium voltage switchgear or electrical distribution products.
Background in utility grid or power infrastructure applications.
Passion for innovation and developing solutions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
