The Quality Assurance Inspector in Assembly ensures assembled products meet quality standards through component and finished assembly inspections. This role involves identifying defects, collaborating with production, and reporting quality issues, with a focus on maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction. A high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform spot checks to ensure production assembly adheres to established quality procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns to manufacturing assistants and report relevant issues to the quality management team.
  • Conduct final inspections on all assembled units.
  • Capture photographs for factory documentation updates.
  • Monitor email for correspondence from the quality management team.
  • Record quality issues in Smartsheet.
  • Perform other duties and specific responsibilities as assigned.

Krav

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year related experience and/or training in an ASSA ABLOY assembly line or basic knowledge of ASSA ABLOY products, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use a computerized workstation and perform simple functions within an MS Windows environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
  • Ability to write correspondences in English.
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees within the organization and customer representatives.
  • Assistance with establishing practices that align with ISO requirements.
  • Ability to work and interface with other LifeSafety Power departments.
  • Good organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Capability to work efficiently to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to operate independently without daily supervision.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization may exist.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop and kneel; use hands, reach with hands and arms; communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
