Atlas Copco is seeking a driven Purchasing Manager for their Zaragoza, Spain location. Ansvarsområden

  • Support the business model with short and reliable component lead times, fast reaction to volume changes, cost leadership, and lean purchasing processes.
  • Develop and protect the company for the purchase of components for assigned products.
  • Maintain a robust and reliable supply base locally and globally.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure schedules are met.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify synergies.
  • Ensure rigorous supplier quality management, focusing on critical metal works components.
  • Maintain supplier capacity, shorten lead-times, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Identify and implement waste elimination strategies.
  • Engage in New Product Introduction and Product Quality Management meetings.
  • Promote supplier awareness and commitment to Atlas Copco’s policies on environmental responsibility, social performance, safety, health, and business ethics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team.

Krav

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies within a complex global industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of Product Company operations and commercial considerations.
  • Proven expertise in negotiating high-level contracts and fostering strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Highly task-oriented with a results-driven mindset, excellent stress management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Solid analytical abilities with comfort in financial analysis, budgeting, and interpreting complex data sets.
  • Committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in line with Atlas Copco’s Business Code of Practice.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to supplier sites globally.
  • Fluency in English.
