About The Job

As Project Office Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Project Managers, ensuring the successful execution of customer projects while driving excellence in project governance, resource planning, and portfolio performance. You will be responsible for creating the framework that enables projects to be delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Sales, Engineering & Supply, Operations, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure transparency across the project portfolio, support strategic decision-making, and continuously improve the way we execute projects.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative project organization.

  • Drive successful execution of the project portfolio by ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Own project governance, continuously improving project management processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.

  • Provide portfolio oversight through capacity planning, performance monitoring, risk management, and regular management reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering & Supply, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Support commercial activities by contributing to quotations, project planning, and smooth project handovers from Sales to execution.

  • Build organizational capability through resource planning, recruitment, and the development of Project Management competencies.

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Nakskov office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 40 – 50 days per year.

What You Know

  • A degree in mechanical engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience managing complex customer projects, preferably involving process equipment, industrial installations, or capital projects.

  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing project teams.

  • Strong knowledge of project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Experience working in cross-functional environments, collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.

  • Solid commercial understanding, with experience supporting quotations, contract execution, and customer-facing project delivery.
