Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Project Leader Engineering in Cologne, Germany, to lead the development of new vacuum products. This role involves guiding interdisciplinary teams through the product creation process, managing timelines, budgets, and technical risks, and ensuring product specifications meet market requirements. The position requires strong project management experience and fluent German and English.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead the development of new vacuum products aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Drive projects to meet market requirements, performance, and cost targets, delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams using the Product Creation Process (PCP) framework.
  • Estimate timelines, budgets, and technical risks for NPI projects.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation actions for project plans.
  • Track technical progress and escalate issues related to schedule, cost, or performance.
  • Translate Marketing Requirements into clear Product/Engineering Specifications.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
  • Support design reviews to confirm compliance with functional, regulatory, and customer needs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate Technical Construction Files (TCF).
  • Support the creation of manuals, safety documentation, and regulatory submissions (e.g., CE, UL).
  • Prepare formal test reports documenting objectives, methods, setups, results, and conclusions.

Krav

  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience, preferably in engineering, electronics, or product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan, estimate, and report on work progress.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to monitor project performance and communicate progress, risks, issues, and KPIs to management.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
  • Experience or in-depth understanding of rotary machinery.
  • Experience with vacuum pumps is preferable.
