Synopsys is seeking an experienced Principal Project Engineering Manager in Mississauga, Ontario. This role involves leading complex cross-functional initiatives, managing project scope, schedules, and risks, and representing R&D in customer engagements. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in engineering project management and a strong understanding of silicon IP development processes.

Ansvarsområden

Partner with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
Track project execution, identify risks and issues, and drive resolution.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
Represent R&D in customer engagements, aligning on commitments and delivery expectations.
Evaluate and manage change requests and technical issues reported by customers.
Manage product updates triggered by silicon process updates, design updates, and customer feedback.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management.
Ensure adherence to quality management system processes and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Krav

A degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience in customer-facing project or program management roles within an engineering environment.
Strong ability to manage customer expectations and communicate complex technical topics clearly.
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project preferred) and issue-tracking systems (Jira).
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
Familiarity with the development process for Mixed-Signal IP, SoC, or ASIC development programs.
Understanding of quality management system (QMS) processes and procedures.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
