Volvo do Brasil is seeking a Professional Buyer in Curitiba to manage the aftermarket purchasing portfolio. The role involves negotiating spare parts, developing supply chain strategies, and performing daily purchasing activities. Ansvarsområden
- Manage and negotiate the spare parts business for price competitiveness and availability.
- Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies to improve supply chain performance (localization, cost improvements, logistics optimization, CO2 reduction, bundles).
- Lead negotiations and agreements with suppliers globally.
- Perform daily purchasing activities including back-order recovery, parts development support, requisition management, forecasting costs, managing demand, deliveries, price discrepancies, invoice payments, and parts/tooling scrap.
- Drive activities to meet Quality, Delivery, Cost, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management targets.
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks within the supplier base.
- Act as a member of the global Buyer network and foster synergies across Volvo business units.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance.
- Track cost drivers and develop strategies for cost competitiveness.
- Support customer adaptations and conduct data analytics.
- Conduct business review meetings with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Place orders and manage forecasting of cost developments.
Krav
- Strong purchasing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Native Portuguese speaker.
- Fluent in English.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Proven negotiation skills and TCO mentality.
