ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker/Welder for their Austral Monsoon team in Carole Park, QLD. This full-time, on-site role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding light gauge steel components for doors and louvers. Ansvarsområden
- Fabricate, assemble and weld thin gauge metal components to various specifications as required from relevant detailed drawings
- Perform MIG and TIG light gauge steel welding (1.1mm to 3mm) on Zincaneal, Galvabond, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
- Grind and clean all steel, and polish stainless steel
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet required standards and structural integrity
- Adjust components where necessary using a grinder or other cutting tools
- Fit components using jigs
- Perform general jobbing work fitting special hardware
- Read and understand workshop drawings
- Fabricate profile lengths using bending and cutting machinery
- Identify different material types and thicknesses
- Conduct quality control checks on own work
- Complete required paperwork
- Report defective goods
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Keep work area clean and safe
Krav
- Sheet Metal or equivalent work experience
- Welding Experience
- Ability to work within tolerance and ensure quality in the product
- Ability to maintain production levels as required
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Compliance with WHS guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment
- Ability and willingness to follow direction and work independently
- Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square
- Ability to complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specification
- Must be able to operate sheet metal machinery and welding equipment
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience as a factory hand, machine operator, or production operator is a plus
- Training and support will be provided
