ABB India Ltd is seeking a Process / Industrial Engineer in Bangalore, Karnataka for a full-time, on-site role. This position focuses on optimizing assembly methods, processes, and equipment to improve efficiency, cost, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Optimize production assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours.
  • Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies for new products using DFA methodology.
  • Design efficient assembly processes and line architectures aligned with Lean principles.
  • Coordinate industrial performance initiatives through digitalization, standardization, and energy-efficient approaches.
  • Lead end-to-end equipment and assembly line development, including RFQs, supplier selection, validation, and commissioning.
  • Provide ongoing industrialization support by resolving critical production issues and monitoring equipment performance.
  • Ensure robust, efficient, and safe manufacturing processes.

Krav

  • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and assembly process engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge in assembly process design, SPM, fully automatic machine development, lean manufacturing, MTM, and VSM.
  • Practical experience with assembly technologies like laser marking, riveting, soldering, ultrasonic welding, robotics, packaging, vision systems, and pneumatic/Electro-Mechanical systems.
  • Extensive experience in end-to-end assembly line development, including DFA, PFMEA, LADM documentation, process flow simulation, and capacity/takt time analysis.
  • Skilled in jigs and fixture design, GD&T, product qualification principles (Cp, Cpk, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, Jidoka), and advanced testing techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in Industry 4.0, digitalization in assembly processes, ergonomic and safety standards, and continuous improvement through lean tools and automation integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills with effective communication and people management capabilities.
