Process Engineer needed in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. This full-time, on-site role involves optimizing manufacturing processes for quality and cost, supporting new product introductions, and leading continuous improvement projects. Requires a B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of PCBA/SMT process engineering experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product Engineering, R&D, Quality, Planning, etc., to sustain, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure successful and on-time new product introduction (NPI) while balancing R&D and manufacturing needs.
  • Focus on manufacturability of the product (DFM/DFX).
  • Meet KPIs and lead continuous improvement projects to improve OEE, FPY, TPY, DPMO, on-time delivery, and cost targets.
  • Research and evaluate cutting-edge manufacturing technology to meet product requirements and improve processes.
  • Design and define sustainable and reproducible processes.
  • Perform complex problem-solving through deep data analysis.
  • Design and fabricate tools, fixtures, and stencils.

Krav

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • 2+ years of experience in a multinational electronics PCBA/SMT process engineering required.
  • Possess SMT, Wave, manual soldering, press-fit related PCBA manufacturing knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Well versed in IPC-A-610, J-std, JEDEC and relevant standards on PCBA.
  • Experience in practicing Lean, Root cause analysis, Data analysis and Six-sigma DMAIC methodology.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, logical and critical thinking in making engineering judgments, exploring and researching new methods or tools.
  • Works well independently, able to perform daily duties with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentations.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience from a high mix low volume environment, high technology original equipment manufacturer will be preferred.
