Ansvarsområden

Act as a hands-on engineering leader, designing and implementing critical software and infrastructure changes, and establishing sound engineering practices.
Build reusable solutions like deployment frameworks, release validation, and observability capabilities for multiple services.
Influence architecture beyond the immediate team by partnering with product and infrastructure owners to address sovereign-cloud requirements.
Strengthen production reliability through on-call rotations, incident leadership, and driving improvements to reduce customer impact and operational burden.
Develop engineering capability by mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge across service boundaries.
Apply AI-assisted engineering responsibly using approved tools like GitHub Copilot.
Embody Microsoft’s culture and values, fostering an inclusive environment.

Krav

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
U.S. citizenship verification required due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.

Experience shaping technical roadmaps and securing cross-team alignment on architectural changes, shared infrastructure, or engineering standards.
Experience delivering services in sovereign, air-gapped, regulated, or otherwise constrained environments.
Experience building reusable platforms, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, validation frameworks, or observability capabilities adopted by multiple services or teams.
Experience operating containerized services using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes on Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
Experience improving production reliability through incident analysis, resilient design, safe rollout practices, and measurable reductions in recurring operational work.
Experience with AI service infrastructure, model delivery, inference platforms, or related distributed systems.
Demonstrated impact through mentoring engineers, guiding technical leads, and improving engineering practices beyond an individual project.

Förmåner

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year.
For San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
