The Growth team at Microsoft is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to accelerate the adoption of Copilot and Microsoft 365. This hybrid role focuses on developing embedded AI experiences across the M365 suite, requiring strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for building customer-centric solutions. Responsibilities include technical vision, problem-solving, mentorship, and driving AI-assisted engineering practices.

Ansvarsområden

Partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements for various scenarios.
Lead the identification of dependencies and development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
Mentor others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products.
Leverage subject-matter expertise across product features with stakeholders to drive project and release plans.
Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers, and working on-call to monitor system performance.
Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new technical solutions and patterns to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
Champion responsible AI-assisted engineering practices to improve developer productivity, learning, and delivery speed.

Krav

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Understanding of GitHub Copilot will be an added advantage.
Experience with product-led growth, experimentation platforms, product analytics and instrumentation, or activation and adoption funnels for high-scale products.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Copilot scenarios and GitHub Copilot is a plus.
Native Android/iOS/Windows/macOS experiences using modern C++, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift and platform-specific frameworks OR equivalent experience.
