Microsoft 365 Core Platform seeks a Principal Product Manager for its Fleet & Capacity team to strategize and execute on infrastructure planning, investment, and operations. This AI-first role requires deep technical and financial judgment to manage billions in capacity investment and drive efficiency for Microsoft 365 workloads.

Ansvarsområden

  • Shape strategy and create roadmaps for Microsoft 365 capacity and fleet management.
  • Address high-impact problems in capacity planning, supply/demand balancing, fleet health, and decommissioning.
  • Utilize AI-driven analysis of demand signals and telemetry for accurate forecasting and early issue detection.
  • Employ agents, automation, and AI Ops for data analysis, work coordination, and action.
  • Model capacity and hardware tradeoffs using AI prototyping and scenario testing.
  • Balance cost, performance, and reliability to prioritize multi-year capacity investments.
  • Advance platform and hardware transition strategy to improve fleet efficiency.
  • Define success metrics, OKRs, and KPIs, and shape investment priorities.
  • Communicate complex technical and financial tradeoffs to executives for decision-making.
  • Mentor other product managers and advance AI-forward ways of working within the team.

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market.
  • 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market.
  • 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.
  • Experience taking on ambiguous, high-stakes work and driving it from strategy through execution.
  • Experience leading large-scale cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, or distributed systems work with a grasp of hyperscale service delivery.
  • AI fluency, including using AI agents, automation, and prototyping.
  • Experience using telemetry, demand signals, and operational data to guide platform and investment decisions.
  • Systems-level problem solving and clear communication skills with ability to influence senior leaders.

Förmåner

  • Base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year.
  • Base pay range in San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
